A Coach's Safest Bet in Atlantic City (The Fumble Pro)

As Rick and Joe passed the slot machines and roulette tables on their way to their booth at Nike's Coach of the Year Clinic in Atlantic City, they were not distracted by the chance to win it big.  They knew that in their hands was their key to success - the Fumble Pro. They, however, left nothing to chance.  Before noon on Thursday they were already acting like high rollers standing in front of their high-definition display showcasing the Fumble Pro to some of the top high schools and colleges in the country.  The first day of the clinic flew by and, while everyone took some good advice and pointers from the highly qualified presenters, coaches were soon realizing that the key to their success was not in those meeting rooms - it was at the Innocept booth.  Every coach that got his hands on the latest in football training technology instantly felt how this tool could improve his team and, as usual, the lure of Innocept's feature product was undeniable.

We went 'all in' on the second day of the clinic and really hit it big.  The clinic director was so impressed with the product that after purchasing a Fumble Pro for himself, he gave Rick and Joe the opportunity to showcase the Fumble Pro in the main meeting room.  In addition to over 230 coaches, Chris Petersen from Boise State, David Shaw from Stanford, and Mark Dantonio from Michigan State were also in attendance and looked on as the Innocept team demonstrated how teams can benefit from the Fumble Pro.  Looks of understanding and enlightenment filled the room as coaches realized that they no longer had to chalk up a gifted and athletic player as a 'fumbler'.  They could now possess the tools to teach their players NOT to fumble instead of making them run an extra lap or do pushups - exercises that only punish players and do not help them improve.  The response from this demonstration was outstanding as many coaches left the meeting and immediately placed their orders for their own Fumble Pro.  Before it was all said and done, 3 high school championship teams from Delaware, New Jersey, and Virginia purchased Fumble Pros for their own programs along with multiple other high school and college teams.  The top teams in the nation also had the chance to witness the next big thing in sports-specific training and we could not be happier with the overwhelming response to our product. Dozens of teams expressed their interest in placing orders and we look forward to helping all of these teams succeed in the future and are thankful for everyone's support.  We are also thankful that Rick and Joe escaped the Atlantic City casinos with their dignity and bank accounts in tact.

Cheers

The Fumble Pro Has Helped Teams Find Success by Reducing Turnovers

As we wind down our first calendar year selling The Fumble Pro, we have been reflecting on how very fortunate we are to have had teams give us the opportunity to contribute to the success of their seasons. We believe wholeheartedly the one stat in football that truly matters is the Turnover margin. The majority of the time, the teams who win the turnover margin win the game. "You can't beat yourself!"

For proof of this we don't need to look any further than one of our first schools to purchase The Fumble Pro, Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish went from -15 in 2011 in their turnover ratio, and unranked, to +9 in 2012 and the current #1 team in NCAA FBS. We have found many of our clients like the nationally ranked #1 High School Manatee Hurricanes and their Coach Rob Frazier, can already see the value The Fumble Pro has when it is regularly incorporated into their team practices.

It is the number one tool to reduce or eliminate turnovers by building muscle memory for all players. As Running Backs Coach Lamar Owens of the #1 rushing offense in NCAA FBS Georgia Tech states, "We stress fundamentals and attention to detail. The Fumble Pro is a ball security tool that will reinforce the attention to detail required to be successful. The Fumble Pro has helped us develop of a culture of ball security."

We will start next year out by showcasing The Fumble Pro at the 2013 AFCA Convention in Nashville.  We are extremely excited to see what new teams we will have the opportunity to work with in the coming year.

Until next time, please check out our website at www.FumblePro.com and see our latest drill videos.

The Fumble Pro Used to Help Quarterbacks Eliminate Turnovers Using Pocket Presence Drills

In a recent trip to Southwest Florida to visit schools and check in with current programs using The Fumble Pro, I came away with a couple of positive impressions. One, teams love it and it has proven to make an actual difference in their turnover ratio for the season. Two, teams have found new and different ways to incorporate The Fumble Pro into their everyday practice routines. That includes weight room, pre-practice, and practice. They taught me several different quarterback and receiver drills I hadn't even thought of.  In receiver drills, the Fumble Pro was used to increase grip strength and the Wide Receiver's ability to catch with their hands and bring the football to their body. We will have new videos loaded up to our website that demonstrate the Wide Receiver drills soon.

The thing that most caught my eye was quarterback coach Josh Vogelbach, of Sport Specific Training in Ft. Myers, using The Fumble Pro to teach quarterbacks increased pocket awareness. He found unique ways to incorporate it into his football drills. He stated, "the muscle memory the quarterbacks gained throughout training made a direct impact throughout the season." One of his quarterbacks, a NCAA Division 1 prospect, made giant strides in reducing turnovers after taking hits in and out of the pocket. These drills can be used for players at every level - Pop Warner, High School, College, and the NFL.

We want to hear from you.  Let us know how you are using the Fumble Pro at your practices.  Even better, send us a video and we'll make you famous on our website.  Please continue to check out our videos page as we update it with new drill ideas.

Innocept Visits the Fighting Irish

Well I'm a little late getting this post up because we've been so busy since we got back from Indiana.  Wow, what an amazing time at the Notre Dame Coaches Clinic last week!  I really want to thank Ryan Grooms and the staff at Notre Dame for hosting the event and their amazing hospitality while we were there.  Not only did the clinic provide us with a great opportunity to show off the Fumble Pro to all the attending coaches, we also go to attend all the social events and see the locker room at the storied Notre Dame Football Stadium.  Not to mention, we got to attend two practices - one at their indoor facility, and one at the outdoor fields.

We even got to show the product to running backs coach Tony Alford, and not to brag, but I think he was pretty impressed!  Let's just say that Notre Dame running backs will be getting to know the Fumble Pro pretty well when they resume practices this summer.

I also wanted to thank Paul "Wilkie" Wilkinson from Sport Star USA and Frank Steele from Hudl for all their help and advice.  People like them really make the whole football community feel like a family!

We are busy preparing to leave early Friday morning for Phoenix, where we will be showing the Fumble Pro at the AzFCA Clinic and are looking forward to another successful event.

Here are some of the sites we got to see during our trip:

Notre Dame's Golden Dome

 The Four Horsemen

 National Championship Trophy

Tim Brown's Heisman

The Fumble Pro Goes Pro

Yesterday the Innocept team had the opportunity to head to Jacksonville to work with pro football running back Eric Kettani.  Eric and our company President Matt met during their college football years at the U.S. Naval Academy, where Eric became the second player in school history to rush for more than 2,000 yards, and was also the second player to be invited to the Senior Bowl. Eric currently plays for a professional football team (for legal reasons we are not able to print the team name, however google Eric Kettani if you don't already know him, and you can find out for yourself).  Eric's current obligations to the US Navy might prevent him from playing this year, but he is waiting to hear back about the appeal to grant him leave so he will be able to fulfill both his dream of serving his country, and playing professionally during the regular season.

The purpose of our meeting with Eric was to shoot some footage we could use to both promote and demonstrate the Fumble Pro.  Although Matt had told Eric about the product, this was Eric's first opportunity to see and use it in person.  Jimmy had the great idea to make sure Eric did not see or use the Fumble Pro until we were filming.  This was my first chance to see the reaction of someone outside our personal circle and I have to say, it was awesome, and I'm so glad we were able to capture his expression!  There is no doubt by the look on Eric's face the first time the Fumble Pro was engaged that it had a lot more force than he had initially anticipated, and at the end of the drills he mentioned the ball had not only given his arms a good workout, but that using the Fumble Pro had an authentic feel to what he experiences both during games and during practices where his opponents are trying to force him to fumble by hitting the ball with their helmets or fists.  Eric was so impressed by the Fumble Pro that he wanted to buy his own to work out with and take with him up to his teams practice.  As much as we would love for him to make our first pro player purchase, Eric will be receiving a ball on us once our next shipment arrives mid-April as our way of saying thanks for his time and feedback.

We thank Eric Kettani again for helping us out yesterday, but more importantly we thank him for his service to our country and wish him continued success with his football career!

We will let you know once we have our video ready and post it.

Innocept Makes a Splash (Literally)

We wrapped up our first conference at the Glazier Clinic in Atlanta. The conference was a great success. We launched our first product the Fumble Pro and it was well received by all coaches. It was exciting to see many of the coaches bring other coaches up to try out the product. The stunned look on these coaches’ faces when the ball was jarred from their hands despite their iron grip was a satisfying feeling. It was great to know that others were as excited about the product as Jimmy and I.

Splash Zone…
I was doing a demonstration with a running backs coach who was holding the ball facing me. It was near a hallway and at the time no one was around. I gave it a pull and the ball flew out of his hands. To my surprise someone turned the corner holding a cup of water. The ball nailed him and the water drenched him. To make matters worse he was on his way into a meeting room to introduce the guest speaker. Although I felt bad about soaking the gentlemen, I couldn’t be disappointed that the ball did its job and not to mention it was a little funny.
Overall our first conference was a success. We are confident that Innocept will be well received at our upcoming conferences.
